Reception's flower experiment

Reception love to take part in an experiment and offer their thoughts, ideas and predictions. We used white flowers and kept them in test tubes of coloured water. The children were then asked to predict what they think would happen. Predications ranged from 'the flowers will die because they aren't attached to the plant anymore' to 'they'll change colour because they're drinking coloured water'.
